HIKING

Year-round hiking trails are available on several of the Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation properties. Hikers can enjoy wonderful views of local lakes, woodlands and wetlands and perhaps catch a glimpse of some wildlife. Foundation properties are limited to pedestrian traffic only. Hikers are asked to stay on the trails in order not to disturb plants or wildlife.

Maps for the trails are available online. In order to enjoy the trails, you must only join Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation.

NORDIC AND DOWNHILL SKIING

Expertly groomed Nordic ski trails are located within the Klingler Fox Hill Nature Conservancy.  There are five complete cross-country trails to accommodate all ability levels from beginner to expert. The trails are groomed and maintained by members of the Fox Hill Nordic Ski Club. For downhill skiers, the Milwaukee Ski Club, founded in 1910 and incorporated in 1913, is a private club that offers six runs, four rope tows and no waiting. From the first snow of the season, the Milwaukee Ski Club's lodge is open to Fox Hill Nordic skiers on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Trails are open every day. Cross-country skiers need only join the Fox Hill Nordic Club in order to enjoy the trails. Downhill skiers are invited to join the Milwaukee Ski Club.
