December Annual Meeting

Marc White is shown addressing the crowd at the 2007 annual meeting.

Each December, an interesting and informative speaker is invited to address members of the Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation at our annual meeting. Updates on the progress of the Foundation are provided along with refreshments. Family and friends are always welcome at these meetings.

Marc White, Director of Research, Stewardship, and Adult Education at Riveredge Nature Center, presented fascinating information gathered as part of an ongoing study of ephemeral ponds in Wisconsin to an audience at the Foundation's 2007 Annual Meeting.  Two ponds being monitored are located within the Fox Hill Nature Preserve. Guests learned more about the importance of such ponds to water quality and habitat.
